Oregon is a wonderland of natures beauty. There is something here for almost everyone. From the Pacific Coast to the long stretches of wilderness and hiking, anyone who loves getting back to nature would love spending some time in Oregon.

Long hikes through the wilderness are a natural. There are a large number of trails throughout the area and they are well marked and maintained. The entire economy of Oregon seems to revolve around nature and the state does a wonderful job of maintaining a successful balance.

There are a large number of trails through the various parks. From Portland, the Coastal Trails, the Willamette Valley and Central and Eastern Oregon, there are trails all over the state. For those riding bikes or horses, there are amazing mountain trails and vistas to behold. From th Columbia River Trail with its twin tunnels to the old railbed trail in Deschutes, there is practically the full gamut of options available. It's hard to find a state that does more to take care of people looking to enjoy the outdoors.

While most states are happy to provide some golf courses for the occassional player, Oregon goes the extra step with Disc Golf courses. With 7 courses inside of the state park system, is there any doubt that fun in the sun is a priority in Oregon? And considering that the Milo McIver State Park has a 27 hole course, they aren't skimping. And Rooster Rock State Park has 2 courses (9 holes each).

So if you are looking for a good time and for a chance to see nature as it was meant to be seen, Oregon may be the choice you are looking for.
